Dr. Bergeron’s parents knew they were in trouble when their little girl’s fascination with horses just got stronger by the year. After carefully saving her babysitting money, her parents finally conceded to a request for a golden retriever. It was smaller than a horse but bigger than a poodle! She was fortunate to choose neighbor Dr. Mike Anthony as the veterinarian for her beloved pup Brandy. Determined to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Bergeron began volunteering, working in the kennels and as an assistant while observing all facets of veterinary medicine from lifelong mentors and role models Drs. Anthony and Crawford.

Dr. Bergeron studied Animal Science at Virginia Tech and went on to receive her DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional Veterinary School at Blacksburg in 1992. She came back to work at both Swift Creek and Stonehenge Veterinary Hospitals for nine years before going on to experience other styles of private practice from rural to emergency. She is thrilled to be back at Stonehenge where she can practice in a style that promotes the value of pets as members of our family.

In her spare time, she enjoys the many projects necessary to maintain an old house and hobby farm which includes (finally!) 2 horses, 2 goats and various chickens and a very energetic Australian Shepherd named Hannah. She is an enthusiastic trail rider and gardener and loves traveling near and far with her family.
